Model overview based on user reviews
The Razer DeathAdder Essential is a wired gaming mouse that offers a comfortable ergonomic design, making it suitable for right-handed users who prefer a palm grip. It features a 6400 DPI optical sensor and Razer's mechanical switches, providing precise and responsive performance for gaming. Users appreciate the high-quality braided cable and the mouse's affordable price, making it a popular choice among budget-conscious gamers. However, some users report issues with the scroll wheel squeaking and double-clicking problems after a few months of use. The mouse lacks RGB lighting and a DPI switch button, which might be a drawback for some. Overall, the Razer DeathAdder Essential is praised for its good value for money and comfortable design, although its durability and build quality have received mixed reviews.

Good and reliable mouse
Pleasant design
Good software interface
Quality workmanship
Nice backlighting with adjustable settings
High DPI count
Pleasant keystroke feel
I don't know if I got a defective piece or if there are versions without a braided cable, but mine is just like that. After a few months, the scroll wheel started to creak a little, but not significantly.
The mouse is okay.

The mouse has a good price, brand, and so on.

Dear Razer team,

I want to share my impressions of using your gaming mouse Razer DeathAdder Essential. This device truly deserves high praise for its performance and efficiency.

First of all, the battery life of the mouse is impressive. As an avid gamer and PC user, I value products that not only perform their functions flawlessly but also operate without interruptions. The Razer DeathAdder Essential provides stable and reliable performance, making every game or computer task truly enjoyable.

I especially want to highlight the mouse's ergonomics. The design, intended for years of intensive gaming or work, ensures comfortable use without any hand fatigue. The lightweight and pleasant materials make this mouse perfect for any position.

I also want to note the precision and speed of the Razer DeathAdder Essential. The large sensor located in the center of the mouse provides impeccable movement tracking, allowing for precise and quick game navigation.

I can't overlook the stylish design of the mouse, which emphasizes the gaming nature of the device.

Overall, the Razer DeathAdder Essential is an impressive product that lives up to its name and Razer's reputation. Thank you for creating such a high-quality and efficient gaming accessory.
I want to express my grateful impression from using the Razer DeathAdder Essential gaming mouse. The device proved to be outstanding in many of these parameters, and here are some of its significant advantages:

Design and Ergonomics:
The design of the mouse reflects your style and elegance. The shape of the device is perfect for hands, ensuring excellent comfort even during prolonged use.

Sensor and Accuracy:
The built-in sensor provides incredible cursor movement accuracy. This allows for a high level of precision in games and other applications.

Razer Synapse Software:
The use of the Razer Synapse program makes the mouse settings exceptionally convenient. Easy access to configurations and profiles ensures a high level of user-friendliness.

Excellent Value for Money:
The Razer DeathAdder Essential offers impressive functionality for an affordable price, making it an attractive choice for a wide range of users.
Dear Razer Team,

I want to share my experience using the Razer DeathAdder Essential gaming mouse and highlight some drawbacks that I believe should be considered when choosing it.

Programmable Button Count:
One of the most noticeable drawbacks is the limited number of programmable buttons. Compared to competitors, the number of buttons on the DeathAdder Essential is somewhat modest, particularly for gamers looking for more achievements.

Weight of the Mouse:
For some users, the weight of the mouse might be significant, and in this case, the DeathAdder Essential can seem slightly heavy. The additional ability to adjust the weight would have been a big plus.

Material of the Body:
The body of the mouse is made of glossy plastic, which can show fingerprints and release [censored], affecting the device's appearance. The material can also become slippery in hand during extended use.

Absence of Lighting:
While this is a matter of personal taste, some users might miss the absence of lighting, especially if they play in dark environments.
The mouse is good, but there are even better options, even from Razer itself.
14 July 2023
The mouse is great for its price! However, I can't recommend this mouse because there are competitors from Razer itself. For example, the DeathAdder V2 Mini or Viper Mini. But if the budget is really tight, it can be considered.
Shape, design Easy to use (for instance, it's convenient for me, though not everyone might like it). The mouse is quiet, doesn't creak or make any sand or spring noise. The sensor doesn't skip, I've been using it for two years, and during those two years, it hasn't failed me.
It's tough to press, but I'm used to it. Kailh switches with 5 million clicks, which is very low if you play a lot.

Another reincarnation of a legend

The Razer DeathAdder esports mouse was, if not a cult thing, then simply extremely popular. Gamers loved it for its rare combination of ergonomics, responsiveness, and a crisp click that many called unmatched. Add here the strongest case, programmable buttons and quite an adequate price tag, and it becomes clear why so many reincarnations of this model have come out over these 10 years.

Proprietary 4G sensor with a maximum resolution of 6400 DPI

Released in 2019, DeathAdder Essential builds on the best of its predecessors. It boasts an excellent, sharp and accurate 4G sensor with a maximum resolution of 6400 DPI, branded switches with the same soft click, a couple of additional buttons and a proprietary Razer Synapse application in which you can bind macros, switch sensor sensitivity, etc. (separate buttons for this is not). And all this at a price of $40. Almost half the price of most popular gaming mice from other A-brands.

Excellent ergonomics

At the same time, it is important to note that the mouse is as asymmetrical as possible with a large notch for the right hand, so it is absolutely not suitable for left-handers. But right-handed people will like it, comfortable. Especially if you prefer a palm grip over a claw grip. The plastic is the same matte and rough as in the original. There are textured rubber pads on the sides. It feels almost like the first DeathAdder - it lies confidently in the palm, does not slip out in battle, even if the palms are sweaty. The only negative is that the case is not as strong as the original DeathAdder. We haven’t tested it, but people often complain on the Internet that the model is not for the faint of heart and it’s better not to throw it at the wall.
