Like its 128 and 256 GB versions, the device operates completely independently: a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor, 6 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth modules are housed within the body, and no computer or smartphone is needed to launch VR content. The built-in storage is 64 GB, which is enough for several large games and a number of applications, but with active use, space runs out relatively quickly, and there is no memory card slot provided. If necessary, the Oculus Quest 2 64 Gb VR headset can be connected to a PC via USB-C cable or wireless Wi-Fi 6, gain...ing access to a library of PC VR games and applications, including the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform. If you want to start getting familiar with VR, don't have money for a Valve Index, or don't have a PC, then this is the best choice. Price, image quality, number of games, Oculus Link, comfortable controllers, good tracking. The head mounting is playable, but it may be uncomfortable during long sessions. Before him, the computer topic caused such delight, well, perhaps 3dfx in the late 90s. This is a real breakthrough in the computer games industry. This is the second month that the whole family has been playing only in VR. Excellent, high-quality, solid piece of iron. The level of immersion in the game is unreal! Face book policy and the risk of being banned for unknown reasons. |
Not recommended for fitness, unfortunately. The first model is actually more durable under intensive use, alas. It lasted a year without problems, unlike Quest 2. This is quite a modern helmet with a bunch of software and games, providing freedom from a stationary computer and cables. Overall, everything is at a high level. Sweaty hands do not withstand well — usually, it takes from two weeks to three months to render controllers unusable. Trust me, as someone who has had to repair them twice for this reason — the only reliable solution are rubber gloves. Fabric ones won't help either — I know this from repair #2. Software prices are not adjusted for the region — in other words, they're slightly outrageous. Increasing dependency on a Facebook account and the focus on "1 headset - 1 user" in some games.
