Upgrading Traditional Solutions
The Osprey model is the fourth generation of Talon backpacks, which is intended primarily for day trips on foot and/or cycling. It is based on the proprietary Airscape ventilation system, designed to increase comfort during operation.
The Osprey Talon 11 is made from nylon fabric. It is complemented by high-quality fittings and long-lasting zippers. The total weight without contents does not exceed 640 grams. The backpack is perfectly fixed on the back and helps to evenly distribute the load, because the shoulder straps are “helped” by an adjustable chest strap and waist belt.
Take everything you need with you
The model has a satisfactory, as for sports solutions, volume of 11 liters. And if there is a lot of this, then you should look at the smaller version, which is more compact and inferior in displacement (9 liters). The drinking system is proposed to be placed not in the main compartment, but outside — in front of the back. This will make it easier to get to the hydrator (capacities from 1.5 to 2 liters are supported), plus there will be more space inside for other things.
The user also has a front pocket and an abundance of additional external pockets. In addition to the side ones (for bottles), there are a couple on the waist belt (for example, for snacks or a tourist GPS navigator), and one on the strap.
Additional features
Osprey Talon 11 is also notable for other useful features. On the front of the case, there is not only a LidLock helmet mount, but also an InsideOut elastic cord that allows you to fix bulky items, such as outerwear, from the outside. Additional loops for equipment are also provided: thanks to them, you do not have to carry an ice ax and/or trekking poles in your hands. And there are also side ties, a place for fastening a flashlight, reflective elements and a signal whistle on the shoulder strap.
The disadvantages of the model include a rather high cost, but this is typical of all the manufacturer's products. Osprey Talon 11 is worth a closer look not only for fans of the brand, but also for the most demanding cyclists and backpackers.
