Practical filter coffee maker with a convenient glass coffee jug and its heating system. Equipped with a simple and intuitive electronic control system with a built-in timer. Designed to work with ground coffee only, with best results when using cone or burr grinders to ensure uniform particle size. The drink brewed in this machine is an authentic Americano coffee (this is the principle of preparation that is most widespread in South and North America).

The extraction process in the Philips HD 7459 coffee maker takes place at atmospheric pressure and a temperature close to 85-90 °C. Hot water in the form of droplets is filtered through a layer of ground coffee, which is loaded into a disposable paper filter (type 1x4 or #4, not included). The strength and tonic ability of the prepared drink depends on the type of grains and the fineness of the grinding. You can also adjust the flavor intensity by changing the amount of ground coffee to be loaded. The volume of the regular water tank (1.2 L) is enough to prepare from 6 to 12 servings of coffee. The special Aroma Twister inside the coffee pot stirs the incoming coffee, ensuring the same taste of the drink from the first to the last cup.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Philips Daily Collection HD7459/20 is a reliable and affordable drip coffee maker, ideal for both home and office use. It features a large 1.2L water tank that can brew up to 15 cups of coffee, making it suitable for small groups. Users appreciate its quick heating and simplicity, with a visual water level indicator and a drip-stop system to prevent messes. The coffee maker includes a timer function, allowing you to wake up to freshly brewed coffee. While the thin metal and plastic parts are noted as potential drawbacks, the overall ease of use, compact design, and automatic shut-off feature make it a popular choice. However, it requires separate filter purchases, as they are not included. Overall, it delivers good quality coffee and is easy to clean, making it a great option for those who enjoy a simple, no-frills coffee experience.

Excellent coffee maker for making quality coffee for a small group
30 July 2016
Drip coffee makers working on the principle of filtration are one of the most common and inexpensive options. Therefore, when my colleagues and I decided to purchase a coffee maker for work, this model seemed to us the most suitable and quite affordable.
There are five of us in the room, and thanks to the large tank capacity, which is 1200 ml, this coffee maker is capable of making coffee for everyone at once. It heats water quickly, and the entire process from loading the coffee to getting the aromatic beverage doesn't take much time. The quality of the drink, of course, depends more on the beans than the machine, but if you buy good beans and grind them fresh (yes, we bought a grinder too), the machine won't disappoint. It's quite simple and easy to operate, the water level is monitored via a visual indicator, a special "drip-stop" system prevents dark stains from dirtying both the coffee maker and the dishes, and the warming system for already brewed coffee in the carafe prevents having to settle for a cold drink due to being busy. Everyone is absolutely thrilled with the heated stand. The machine is very easy to clean and wash. The filters can be changed with just one hand. We hardly ever use the timer or clock since work dictates its own schedule.
Very thin metal of the body and thin plastic of the jug-receiver lid. The last moment is a little annoying, because. You can easily break the lid and you don’t have to apply a lot of force for this.
great model, love it

We spent a long time choosing a coffee maker for our home; it was an old dream. This one suits me quite well, it’s inexpensive and makes good coffee. Perhaps super connoisseurs will find fault with the taste, but my husband and I are happy with it. If you used to brew it in a Turkish pot, now you don’t have to constantly stand over the stove, the coffee is made by itself, and the taste is almost the same, I can’t even say which way tastes better. I add milk there (just in a cup, there is no such function) and enjoy it every morning. The main advantage of the coffee maker is its simplicity, and it has a minimum of functions; it only makes regular coffee, but we don’t drink anything else, and we don’t have to overpay for bells and whistles. You choose the coffee you want. The filters are standard and are also sold almost everywhere. Well, of course you have to take care of it, but if you get used to it in half a minute, I wash everything, so it’s not that difficult. As a conclusion, a simple coffee maker is probably not suitable for gourmets, but we are completely satisfied, since in the morning the smell of fresh coffee cannot be replaced by anything, considering that it is made by yourself, and you can take a nap or get ready for work at this time, it’s really great . We are happy with the coffee maker.

great model, love it
25 March 2015
i really love coffee, especially in the mornings, and this purchase was just necessary. Given the prices of everything in the country, it's more economical to drink brewed coffee than instant. And it's much tastier. This coffee maker is from a well-known and reliable brand, and it's absolutely affordable compared to others. But this in no way affects the quality of the brewed coffee. It has all the basic functions, nothing excessive or unnecessary. The main thing it should do is brew good coffee. It does that 100%. There's a water indicator that shows how much there is in the reservoir at any moment. You don't need to open and close the lid a hundred times to check. The coffee maker has a timer. It's very fashionable and convenient these days. For instance, you set the delay timer for 7 a.m. the night before, and in the morning you wake up to hot, delicious coffee that’s already ready. No need to wait or worry about not having time to drink it. You save time. What I also really like is the special function that allows you to stop the coffee maker at any time. The drip-stop function. So, if you want coffee, you take out the glass carafe, and the coffee temporarily stops brewing and doesn't drip when the carafe is absent. Another convenient feature is that if you forget to turn off the coffee maker and leave for work, it turns off by itself after 2 hours. It's easy to clean without any problems, you can even wash it in the dishwasher, which makes life easier and gives you more free time. The parts are removable and easy to wash separately. The coffee maker itself is very compact and lightweight, taking up little space in the kitchen.

The representative of the Daily Collection line of a successful Dutch manufacturer belongs to the category of inexpensive drip coffee makers. The model, like the Philips HD 7457, is very popular with buyers due to its affordability, but at the same time offers users additional functionality.

Simply delicious refreshing drink

The Philips HD 7459 is equipped with a 1.2 liter glass coffee pot with a double scale indicating the number of coffees prepared (from 2 to 15 cups). It will take about 15 minutes to brew the maximum volume of an invigorating drink. At the same time, the model is quite compact and does not take up much space.

After preparation, the heating plate automatically turns on to keep the coffee warm. The advantage is that you do not need to remember to turn off the coffee maker: after 30 minutes, the heating automatically turns off for safety and energy saving purposes.

An additional scale for the clean water tank and an anti-drip system (“drop-stop”) are also provided. The valve of the latter, according to some users, is quite fragile and easily fails if handled carelessly.

Convenient timer

A useful feature of the Philips HD 7459 can be a delay in the start of cooking. Using the display and buttons, you first need to set the current time, and then set the timer to start the coffee maker. So, in the evening you can add ground grains and fill the tank with the right amount of water, and in the morning immediately enjoy an invigorating drink.

The proven choice for coffee lovers

The disadvantage of Philips HD 7459 is the inability to use the device right out of the box. Filters are not included and must be purchased separately. The manufacturer recommends using 1×4 paper consumables, but you can also purchase a reusable nylon counterpart.

All in all, this Philips model is considered a proven choice in the low-cost segment, which will allow you to cook quality Americano for a long period of time. The timer and display of the coffee maker add to the convenience of operation, so paying extra for them seems worthwhile.
