A phone for $300-350 is almost an ideal phone. Still, there are minuses.
19 December 2019
The phone is cool, handy, strong and cheap. I repair phones and I chose the Pocophone F1 a couple of months later, I bought it here in January 2018. I’m already worried and satisfied with the price, characteristics and appearance, and I’ve come to terms with the phone no matter what. It’s just like the first month of the month. And replacing parts such as a module (display), speakers, etc. is simply ridiculously cheap.
The camera is cool, it captures 4K video at 60fps, Pocolauncher works without glitches and runs smoothly. Updates from Xiaomi are on a high level, everything is cool. The processor for 2019 can still show itself that it is a good, strong and extremely inexpensive phone.
I really don’t know what to write, a lot of people complain about the lack of NFC. Let me just say that I don’t like NFC at all. I'm still coming. The downsides are still the same, but the stench is not noticeable at all. Weak stereo sound, if you snore from the phone, but if you slightly change the volume of the sound, everything is ok. It’s rare, but it still happens that it may crash and you may need to reboot, otherwise there may be problems with my software, I installed the Google camera and a couple of different programs, which may be the result. And everything is ok.

Xiaomi sub-brand, congratulations, bravo Pocophone F1!)
Amazing camera, great stereo sound, strong battery, super fast software, great display, top-end processor, great video capture.
Unavailable.

Buy MI 8 purely because of the DESIGN, NFC and some points.

It’s better to pay extra and get Mi 8 for 11,500 UAH and get a classy design and NFC and other things. Well, in principle it’s a cool phone, it’s just that the design sucks. My personal opinion.
Processor, screen, etc.
The design is not very much for everyone.

With the arrival of the Pocophone X1 from Xiaomi, the perception of what a good mid-range phone should be has fundamentally changed. Somehow, the Chinese managed to equip the "Poco" with a top-tier Snapdragon 845 chip and set the model's price at around just $300 at the start of sales.

Power in the "iron" heart

The powerful processor "under the hood" of the mobile device works in conjunction with Adreno 630 graphics and 6 GB of RAM, providing record-breaking performance in all tasks without exception. The model handles games and "heavy" applications "at maximum settings." To prevent the user from encountering throttling, a thermal tube for chip cooling is added to the smartphone's design.

Modest appearance

The appearance of the Xiaomi Pocophone X1 is more modest: the gadget is clad in unremarkable plastic "armor" without any distinctive features. The device's display stretches 6.18 inches diagonally and shows an image with a resolution of 2246x1080 pixels. Paying tribute to modern trends, there is a notch at the top of the screen for the earpiece and a 20 MP selfie camera along with service sensors. The rear camera set, in turn, consists of 12 + 5 MP modules. It takes photos in the spirit of classic mid-range smartphones and has artificial intelligence functions for scene recognition in the frame.

The new flagship killer

The model's menu interface differs from the usual MIUI. The fact is that on top of Xiaomi's proprietary launcher, there is also the POCO Launcher shell, and Android 8.1 is used as the base for them. The only thing the smartphone lacks is an NFC chip, which, in the era of rapid development of contactless payment systems, is disappointing. However, the gadget's battery is in good shape — a 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology powers the smartphone's electronic components for one and a half to two days in a row. Considering the device's advantages, it is now the Pocophone that is destined to be called the "flagship killer" instead of the well-known OnePlus. At least, it truly is.
