Italian design and ergonomics
The Polti iron, designed in Italy, combines a stylish look, high-quality build, and thoughtful ergonomics. The handle with a breathable cork insert deserves special mention, as it prevents slipping and makes ironing more comfortable. The indicator system is also noteworthy: yellow signals heating, blue indicates readiness for use, flashing blue means the temperature is decreasing, and red shows there is no water in the tank.
Ease of use is enhanced by an aluminum soleplate with a rounded shape and sharp tip, which glides easily in different directions and smooths out creases even in hard-to-reach areas. However, the steam holes are concentrated only in the upper part, so steam distribution leaves something to be desired. Keep in mind the size of the model as well: the system weighs 5.2 kg without water, and with a full tank (1.5 L) it becomes even heavier.
Flexible settings
The iron’s core specs are not record-setting but are sufficient for fast, high-quality ironing: 2350 W of power, 7-bar steam pressure, and a steam boost up to 450 g/min. Interestingly, the device is not equipped with a self-cleaning system and does not use cartridges. Instead, the manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty against limescale on the boiler, explaining this with a special design that protects the internal components without additional maintenance.
At the same time, the model offers a wide range of modes. Four programs are available: for silk, linen, turbo, and a universal mode. The latter suits those who don’t want to figure out fabric specifics—it’s safe for any materials and allows ironing without the risk of damaging them.
