Its most noteworthy feature is the addition of Continuous Curved Cone™ mid-bass drivers. This newly developed design first featured in the Concept range takes the greatest characteristics from both flare and straight type cone drivers and delivers the best mid and bass performance yet from the brand at this level.These CCC drivers symmetrically flank a hermetically sealed tweeter which also takes design cues from the Concept range featuring dome fabric and a compact neo-motor. These three drive units are isolated within the front baffle. This black baffle can be found across all four colour variants of the 5040 floorstanders providing a range uniformity as well as a stylish contrast to the cabinet. This pair also comes with top-down adjustable spikes and floor protection so you can level your speakers as desired without damaging delicate flooring.
