Realme Band (RMA183)
Photos 10 | Outdated Product £31.91 The first smart bracelet of the Realme brand was equipped with a 0.96-inch colour screen and a rectangular, slightly curved body, protected from water and dust according to the IP68 standard. The display itself is not touch-sensitive and does not respond to touch, but is responsible for controlling the touch button at the bottom. Realme Band is a low-cost model, so don’t expect a wide variety of functions from it, although everything basic for sports and health is here: round-the-clock heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, support for 9 sports modes, and counting the distance traveled and calories. A 90 mAh battery provides battery life for 6-9 days, and the bracelet is charged without cables and cradles — directly through the USB port hidden in the strap. The fitness tracker is connected...and configured through the Realme Link application, which is not available on iOS. |

The young Chinese brand Realme is one of the many subsidiaries of the tech giant BBK Electronics. The first fitness tracker under the sign of the brand "rolled out" in 2020. It received a prosaic name — Realme Band.
Built-in USB tail
The wearable device is made in the typical form factor of a capsule “embraced” by a silicone strap. The “filler neck” turned out to be unconventional in its design — the bracelet is charged from the USB port through a connector hidden directly in the strap. You will need to turn this procedure every 6-9 days — this is how much the battery life of the fitness tracker is promised on a single charge of a 90 mAh battery.
Colour screen
The screen of the model is non-touch. But the area under the display reacts to touch — taps on it and control is carried out. A colour image is displayed on the tracker display in a resolution of 160x80 pixels. The gadget menu interface consists of a main screen, a pedometer, a heart rate monitor, a menu for selecting training modes (9 available) and information about the device. Upon “arrival” from the smartphone of notifications from applications, they are broadcast once on the bracelet display.
Under the banner of accessibility
The fitness functionality of the Realme Band comes down to basic measurements of the user's physical activity parameters: the tracker collects information about the number of steps taken, the distance covered, measures the pulse and monitors the quality of sleep. The data is transferred to the Realme Link mobile app, which is not yet available on iOS. The key argument “for” in favor of the bracelet is a penny cost, for which you can safely turn a blind eye to minor flaws like a non-touch screen.
