Smartwatches with Casio's trademark design are intended for runners, athletes, and active lifestyle enthusiasts who value gadgets not for their appearance, but for their functionality, durability, and longevity. The case is made of polymer plastic, and the screen is protected by mineral glass, which is resistant to scratches. As a result, the device is not afraid of impacts, falls, or water, even if you decide to dive to great depths.
The screen is not touch-sensitive but has bright backlighting and good text readability. In terms of functionality, Casio GBD-200 falls into the smartwatches category and connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, after which incoming messages and notifications will be mirrored on the screen, although you won't be able to respond to them. Since the watch is designed for sports, attention is given only to options necessary during workouts: the gadget counts steps taken, distance, speed, pace, and calories burned.
A multi-timer with auto-repeat and auto-start remembers up to five different settings and assists during interval training. Steps are calculated using an accelerometer, as the model does not have its own GPS module. However, the device can use the smartphone's GPS—after adjustments, the watch will measure the distance more accurately even without a connection. Finally, a huge advantage is its excellent autonomy: powered by a single CR2032 battery, the watch can work for up to 2 years without the need for recharging.
