A manual lens that gazes at the surrounding reality with a wide viewing angle — the focal length of the model in the 35mm equivalent is 14mm. The convex front lens of the fix is protected from possible damage and stray glare by a complete petal hood. Ghosting and flare also help to suppress UMC's multi-layer AR coating. In turn, two low-dispersion lenses in the Samyang 14mm f / 2.8 ED AS IF UMC optical scheme, which has 14 elements in 10 groups, fight against chromatic aberrations. In order to focus on the subject, the photographer will need to turn the focus ring manually — there is no automation on board the model. The lens is compatible with a whole galaxy of SLR and mirrorless systems: from the mastodons of photography with Nikon F and Canon EF mounts to the not widely developed Samsung NX mount.
