An external terabyte SSD from SanDisk can be classified as a solution in the middle price segment. He presents the Extreme brand line, which combines models for people of creative professions (editors, designers, 3D artists) who often travel. The characteristic features of the drive include a shock-resistant silicone-coated case, which not only must withstand drops from a 2-meter height, but also meets the IP55 standard, that is, it will not be afraid of dust, rain or splashing water.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable V2 SDSSDE61-1T00-G25 1TB SSD is based on 3D TLC NAND memory and supports the NVMe protocol, so that the speed performance can reach 1000 MB / s when writing and 1050 MB / s when reading data. The model provides a USB-C 3.2 gen2 interface, and the package includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-A adapter, so that during operation there should be no difficulties with connecting to any desktop PC, laptop or other devices. Other features include a 5-year official warranty, a carabiner eyelet, and support for AES hardware encryption to protect data.
