How to Choose a Powerful Bike LightGood bike lights allow you to see well and be visible to other road users.

The front bike light is considered a mid-range device in Sigma's product line. It is an advanced version of another popular model — Buster 100.

Battery Powered

Like the junior version, the Buster 300 is a rechargeable bike light that charges via USB and has a clear two-stage indicator showing both the current charge level and the charging status. The maximum autonomy of the model reaches 13 hours, but in the most powerful mode, a recharge is needed approximately after 1.5 hours. The manufacturer claims the capability to replenish the battery capacity while in use, for instance, using a power bank. Charging takes up to 3 hours.

4 Modes

With the Sigma Buster 300, cyclists have 4 modes at their disposal, three of which involve constant lighting, and one involves flashing (most energy-efficient). The Power mode provides maximum brightness at 300 lumens and visibility up to 70 meters, but it is also the "most power-hungry." In Standard mode, the light output is reduced by half (150 lumens), and the time without recharging doubles. Eco mode has minimal brightness (70 lumens) but provides 6 hours of autonomy.

Simple Control and Mounting

The control comes in the form of a large button, which is convenient to use even with cycling gloves. A double press is used to turn it on and off, and a single press switches modes. By the way, the button's backlight serves as a charge indicator.

To mount on the handlebars, a screw bracket is offered with the ability to rotate 360°. The basic package also includes an adapter for mounting on action cameras. The model weighs just over 100 grams.

It is worth noting that an extended configuration (marked SD19550) is also available, which, in addition to the bike light, includes the Nugget II Flash tail light and a quick-release mount.

The Sigma Buster 300 is an excellent choice for riding on city streets, where there is no urgent need for the highest brightness (1500 lumens and above).
