The Japanese company Sony knows a lot about the "building" of video cameras. Take, for example, the FDR-AX700, an upper-class amateur camcorder model that comes as close to the pro league as possible in terms of both cost and features.
To the eyeballs
The camera is stuffed with all sorts of "goodies" to the very eyeballs. First on the list is the 12MP Sony Exmor image sensor. In company with him, “under the hood” of the model, a high-performance Bionz X image processor is installed, which is found on board Sony's advanced photographic equipment. The camcorder shoots 4K video in HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) format, providing a stable HDR output without loss of detail in scenes with complex lighting.
Zeiss optics
An important link in obtaining a colorful picture is optics. And in the case of the Sony FDR-AX700, it did not let us down. The camcorder is armed with a Zeiss Vario Sonnar T* lens with 12x magnification and f/2.8-4.5 aperture. A 273-point hybrid-type autofocus (covers 84% of the frame area) and an effective Optical SteadyShot stabilization system complete the picture according to the model.
Software "chips"
We figured out the hardware, now let's talk about software functions. From their number of eyes literally run up. The camera "with a bang" handles with video filming of any storylines.
