A full-frame camera targeting professional videographers, featuring an image sensor borrowed from the mirrorless full-frame Sony A7S III. The hardware platform of the model is based on a back-illuminated sensor with 10.2 effective megapixels, supported by a high-performance BIONZ XR processor and an advanced autofocus system that covers 92% of the frame area. The camera employs a five-axis in-body stabilization system and features an active cooling system.
The fan is placed outside the dust- and moisture-resistant body. The surface of the camera is equipped with 1/4” sockets for attaching additional accessories to aid the videographer. Now for the main part — the Sony FX3 body records 4K video at 60 fps from the full width of the sensor or at 120 fps with a slight crop (approximately 10% of the image is trimmed).
Captured materials are saved to SD UHS-II or CFexpress Type-A cards (two separate slots are provided). When using an external recorder, video output is possible through HDMI in RAW format with a color depth of 16 bits. In addition to a standard set of picture profiles, the camera features an S-Cinetone profile. To maintain compactness, the model does not include a viewfinder. Users can compose shots using the 3-inch swivel screen. With body dimensions of 129.7x77.8x84.5 mm, the camera weighs approximately 715 g.

Working with the Sony FX3 is pure pleasure. I personally use this model, and I'm very pleased with it. Despite its really compact size, the camera is convenient to hold and use. It has numerous settings, functional buttons, and plenty of accessory ports even without using a cage. Honestly, I still have a lot to learn about using it, as I switched from a much simpler camera, but right now I can't think of a better option for shooting videos. Pros: - Compactness; - Pleasant to touch; - Functionality; - Body material; - Number of accessory ports; - Full-frame; - Firmware; - All buttons can be customized; - There are 3 informational recording start lights (+1, the screen border also lights up red during recording); - Operating speed; - Doesn't overheat due to active cooling with fans; Not revealed by me  Oleksiy K: use Sony FX3 body few months |
