Synology DiskStation DS1522+

An advanced desktop NAS server with serious tools for connection and expansion. The model is part of the 2022 DiskStation and is positioned as a universal solution for home and office. In terms of connections, the device has four LAN ports with a throughput of 1 Gbps and support for failover and load balancing. In addition, the server is equipped with two USB ports of class 3.2 gen1 and a pair of eSATA interfaces.

The disk subsystem is represented by 5 bays for classic drives and 2 ports for faster and more modern M.2 SSD drives. Synology DiskStation DS1522+ is powered by a four-threaded AMD Ryzen R1600 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 3.1 GHz, which is complemented by 8 GB of RAM. If necessary, the manufacturer provides the ability to expand the RAM up to 32 GB. The shell is the proprietary Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) solution with a clear and convenient web interface, as well as a large number of various tools (Synology Drive, ShareSync, Hybrid Share3, etc.) for storing, synchronizing, exchanging, backing up and encrypting data. The model can also be used as a hub for video surveillance with the ability to simultaneously connect up to 40 IPS cameras and support 8300 different models.
