A compact 1U form factor model specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses. The device addresses essential needs for fast data access and information backup. The Synology RackStation RS822+ is equipped with four bays for 2.5"/3.5" SATA drives. With the RX418 expansion module, the number of connected drives can be doubled. In terms of connectivity options, the model is equipped with a quartet of Gigabit RJ-45 ports, which can be combined using Link Aggregation for network load balancing.
Through the PCI-E 3.0 slot, a 10/25GbE network card can be added. This NAS storage is based on a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz and a basic RAM capacity of 2 GB (DDR4 standard). The RAM capacity can potentially be increased to 32 GB for fast handling of more complex loads. The model's software platform is represented by Synology's proprietary DSM development — a powerful platform with a wide range of tools for backup, synchronization, user management, and data protection.
