Dust- and moisture-resistant prime lens for the guard of full-frame SLR cameras with Nikon F, Canon EF and Sony A bayonet mounts. The model provides a minimum focusing distance of 20 cm with a maximum magnification of 0.4. In focusing, the USC (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) autofocus drive is involved here. Also, an optical image stabilizer is installed “under the hood” of the lens (only in versions for Nikon and Canon DSLRs).

The optical design of the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 SP VC USD Di has 10 elements in 9 groups. It features one LD lens, one ED lens and two aspherical elements to eliminate aberrations. In a separate line, it is important to mention the 9-blade diaphragm with a rounded hole. The front glass element of the lens is coated with a protective eBAND fluorine coating. The fixed lens weighs a little less than half a kilogram. Together with it, it is also supposed to be possible to use light filters with a diameter of 67 mm.
