Smart or classic watches: What to choose? The main differences between a traditional and smart watches

Smart watches and fitness trackers: what's the difference? We understand the distinctive features of popular wearable gadgets - smart watches and fitness trackers
The main task for which this watch was purchased was monitoring physical activity with constant heart rate monitoring. Since heart rate is a critical parameter for me due to health reasons, in everyday life I use the optical sensor built into the body, and for the gym or cycling I wear an ANT+ chest sensor, which I bought for the occasion on olx. I am satisfied with the accuracy of both sensors, but the optical one has its own specifics. There is a built-in accelerometer for counting steps and even a GPS module for recording tracks. The screen is monochrome, with low resolution, but readability is excellent. There is mega-convenient synchronization with a smartphone and display of notifications from the smart phone on the watch. The case is durable, with good protection from water and dust. The weight is very small - 50g, they fit perfectly on the hand. There are sound and vibration reminders, I use it as an alarm clock when traveling. I don’t like the watch to fit tightly on my wrist, but for the optical heart rate monitor to work adequately, the case must be pressed tightly. In general, I can say that after six months I’ve almost gotten used to it, but when my hand sweats, the discomfort returns. When actively working with the GPS module turned on, the battery runs down to zero in just 4-5 hours, so you should not forget the clock set in such an active mode. |
