The core of the Taiwanese brand Transcend's product line is formed by all sorts of memory modules. Against their background, the DrivePro DP250 car video recorder looks unobvious, but it is a very advanced device in its class.
Quad HD resolution
The model is made in a traditional design with a lens exactly in the center of the front panel of the case. The standard optics of the recorder provides a viewing angle of about 130 °, and it serves to transmit images to the STARVIS matrix with a high resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Moreover, the video sequence is recorded with a frame rate of 60 fps, as a result of which the picture is smooth and clear even with fairly fast movement.
Wireless communications
Transcend DrivePro DP250 has support for WDR technology to eliminate overexposure and underexposure of the image. Inside the video recorder, a GPS receiver is installed to bind location tags to the video sequence, and the model is also equipped with built-in Wi-Fi. It is supposed to communicate with it via the DrivePro mobile application.
Advanced road assistants
A 2.4-inch screen is used to visualize settings and prompts for the driver while driving. The driving assistance systems are represented by a whole arsenal of "smart" assistants: LDWS monitors the lane, FCWS controls the safe distance, LLWS warns about the need to turn on the headlights when the level of external light decreases, and the "Anti-sleep" function reminds about the need to rest after a certain time behind the wheel.
