Video reviews
Model overview based on user reviews
The Transcend SSD220Q SSD220Q offers a mixed performance based on user reviews. One user experienced issues with the SSD breaking after a year and advised against buying SSDs with QLC chips, recommending TLC or MLC chips instead due to data recovery challenges. On the other hand, another user praised the SSD for its excellent price/quality ratio, noting that Transcend produces quality, time-tested models. They highlighted the SSD's lightweight alloy casing for better heat dissipation compared to plastic casings, and its superior read/write speeds over HDDs, which significantly improve system and program load times. The SSD is recommended for those looking to upgrade, with a 3-year warranty and potential longevity beyond that if used under normal conditions. Overall, the SSD is seen as a good choice for expanding storage, provided the user selects the capacity based on their needs and budget.
Pros

Cons

A good SSD for its price, choose the capacity based on your needs and budget.

I bought it for replacement, or rather to expand the storage on my laptop since 240 GB is not enough. I also got an enclosure to install the old SSD, and installed the new SSD in the main slot. Now more than 700 GB is available, but of course, I won’t be playing ARK, Rust, or other projects that need 150+ GB of disk space. The manufacturer's warranty lasts 3 years, but if Mercury isn't in retrograde, it should work for more than 5 years. My data rewrite is not 10 TB per year, so it will last until I upgrade my laptop. Since I have a portable SSD, the option to connect this SSD via a USB-SATA adapter can be used as a portable SSD, but it's better to use it inside the PC as intended.
Price/quality ratio, the company makes quality SSDs, time-tested models, the casing is made of some lightweight alloy so it will better dissipate heat (the old SSD had a plastic casing), the read/write speed is higher than any HDD, so if you're thinking of upgrading to an SSD, don't hesitate, at least have the system and programs on the SSD, your life will simply be better with the faster program and system load times when you turn on the computer. I can't take a photo because it's inside the laptop, but I have the box))) and it doesn't differ from the photo on the page.
i see no drawbacks, it works well, and if something does happen, I believe the manufacturer will honor the warranty and replace everything. Everything stated in the description is true.
