Relatively slow controller, and this allows it not to overheat (maximum 44-46 C in summer) does not overheat, but the radiator does not hurt relatively slow, if the revision is early, then after installation you need to update the controller firewood |
As an NVMe drive, it is really faster than SATA, and certainly much faster than HDD. Open-world games ran without lag, and the system worked quickly. Throughout its usage, the drive didn't overheat. The SSD was used for 4 years as a system drive (C drive), but eventually, the drive failed. High speed thanks to NVMe, noticeably faster than HDD, easy connection without cables No shortcomings were identified during active use. |
Purchased at Polyus for 2,420 on 01/20/2020. So, I've been using it for a year minus 38 days. Of course, I'd like more, but 256 will do. Speed, the OS is ready before you even sit down Price not yet |

new era
Most low-cost compact form factor M.2 NVMe SSDs run on PCIe 3.0 x2, which delivers up to 1600 Mbps theoretically, but much less in fact. But the Transcend MTE110S breaks the stereotypes and offers a wide x4 tyre for similar money. It turned out, albeit not a record-breaking fast (taking into account the moderate price, it would be stupid to expect this) M.2 SSD, but finally breaking through the same speed ceiling.
To each according to his needs
There are two versions of the Transcend MTE110S to choose from: 256 and 512 GB. The younger 256 GB version, which we consider to be optimal in terms of price, capacity and speed, has sequential read and write rates of 1800 and 800 Mbps, respectively. The older 512 GB modification is even more impressive: 1800 and 1500 MB / s — we advise it to avid computer enthusiasts who want to squeeze the maximum performance out of their PC.
Innovative design
The Transcend MTE110S is built on the basis of the dual-core Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller and three-dimensional 64-layer TLC flash memory. The drive does not have its own RAM cache, so it borrows several hundred megabytes from the system-wide RAM (Host Memory Buffer technology). And this, by the way, is even better, because the built-in cache in an SSD is usually DDR3, and the RAM in a PC is faster DDR4.
Smart caching
Traditionally for TLC memory, a smart SLC caching mechanism is implemented: until the disk is two-thirds full, the write speed will be high, after which it will decrease several times. And M.2 MLC models with consistently high write speeds cost some space money. As a result, Transcend MTE110S successfully occupied a niche in the M.2 NVMe SSD market, which costs only a little more than the simplest models, but offers speed indicators close, rather, to flagships. A five year warranty is included.
