Inexpensive HD webcam with fixed focus for connecting to a personal computer (PC, Mac), HTPC or nettop. It is positioned as a product in the basic price category, aimed at a wide range of budget-conscious users who want to purchase an affordable camera for video chats. Thanks to this device, you can see relatives overseas or virtually meet old friends. The web camera will also help you pass or conduct an interview on Skype, take part in a webinar and organize a video call on Zoom.

In addition, it allows you to record videos, for example, for a blog, and take photographs with a resolution of 8 MP (interpolation). Features a stylish exterior design and a narrow viewing angle (52°), which limits coverage to the sides. Equipped with a simple 1.3 MP CMOS sensor and microphones for accurate voice capture. In good lighting, it provides high-quality video capture with a resolution of up to 1280x720 at 30 fps, and such detail is quite enough for home use.

The lens of the Trust Trino HD web camera does not require sharpness adjustment (monofocal design), and its digital control system will automatically adjust the white balance for correct color reproduction. The device body is equipped with a practical mount with a flexible bracket, which allows you to either fix the camera on a monitor or install it on a table or any other horizontal surface.

Take it without a doubt! Better ones start from 25-28 EUR.

Bought for 299 UAH, although there were options for 279 and even 236 UAH (but they were far away to reach).

As an initial option for an undemanding user, a student, and even as a starter for work - it definitely fits.

In my background are [censored]-pink wallpapers, and with an LED lamp, the focus shifts to a red tint. I didn't find a separate manual white balance setting. But Zoom has video filters. Seafoam fits well. The quality of what you see also depends on the monitor. I have a separate monitor (TN matrix) connected to the laptop. On this monitor, the image isn't great (it turns yellow), but on the laptop screen, the image has a cool tint and looks twice as good.

In Zoom, by default, the Trust Trino is cropped right at the face (at arm's length from the webcam: in height from the beginning of the neck to one or two fingers above the crown and a bit more than a palm on each side of the head). There are two more options (original rate and HD). So if you choose HD, the coverage is such - I'm at arm's length from the webcam, with about 30 cm on each side of the head. The quality is noticeably better than a no-name Chinese webcam. However, the Trust Trino is certainly not as sharp as one would like. As a starter option, it is definitely sufficient for many needs. And if someone buys this webcam and doesn't like it, one of the reasons might be that you simply have nothing to compare it with for a similar price. It's definitely not the worst. If you want, you can buy a more expensive and better one, and this will be a spare.
- small viewing angle (52 degrees), which is a big plus for individual use;
- on a hinge (rotates in different directions, which is very important; you can precisely adjust it to your face, otherwise the result may not please you, regardless of the image clarity. For example, in my case, it's offset from the center of the monitor to the right by 5-7 cm and turned slightly to the left);
- decent sound. It's sufficient, but I still recommend an inexpensive (up to 150 UAH) lapel microphone (it will enhance sound by 2-3 times). I have a Sven MK-170;
- 2 years warranty;
- it's small in size (not like in the picture, you will be surprised), attaches normally to any screen (such as my old 2011 monitor and a laptop screen), it won't fall off by itself;
- almost doesn't heat up;
- tested only on Zoom. Captures in HD if you check the HD option. Quality is acceptable. During testing on webcamtests.com, it provides 25-33FPS in a room with dim daylight, and with a 15W fluorescent lamp, it gives 16FPS. However, this is not very noticeable.
- the lens does not close;
- no tripod thread;

What did I compare it with? Two years ago, I bought a noname FullHD webcam on AliExpress for $8 during a sale. Its features include:
• heats up to a "hot" state;
• the image is much worse;
• the sound is very bad (quiet, like from a barrel, even if you shout).
The only thing that somewhat distinguishes the Chinese webcam is the cover that closes the lens and the thread for mounting on a tripod. By the way, it's twice as wide as this one. That's why I was surprised when I saw the Trust Trino with my own eyes.
