The objective lens, with a diameter of 32 mm, is made from low-dispersion glass with a hydrophobic coating for scratch protection. The BaK-4 prisms have a fully multi-coated lens for enhanced clarity. The housing is protected against moisture and dirt intrusion and is filled with argon to prevent fogging.

The Vortex Recce Pro HD 8x32 monocular features a rangefinder reticle for measuring the distance to observed objects. The device includes a sturdy steel clip for belt carrying and a soft eyecup to prevent side glare. The monocular weighs 312 g and measures 157x51 mm.
