Wacom STU-540

A specialized input peripheral device for capturing handwritten signatures and displaying text or graphic information. Unlike consumer graphics tablets, this model is optimized for business processes requiring legally meaningful identity verification and data protection. The patented electromagnetic resonance technology allows the stylus to work without batteries or wires, providing high precision in transmitting biometric signature characteristics: movement speed, stroke direction, and pressure gradation.

The Wacom STU-540 graphics tablet processor digitizes this data and transmits it securely to a computer. This model is positioned as a mid-priced product in the signature capture specialized device market (Signature Pads). The device cost is attributed to the use of high-quality materials, built-in encryption algorithms (RSA with a key up to 2048 bits, AES 256 bits), and a color display with a resolution of 800x480 (108x65 mm).

The tablet is housed in a monolithic body made of impact-resistant plastic, and its working area is covered with tempered glass, resistant to scratches and aggressive cleaning agents. Recognition of 1024 pressure levels allows capturing not just the visual image of the signature but also the dynamic profile necessary for graphological examination. Each tablet has an individual serial number that can be linked to a document.
