For travel and anti-theft protection

New for 2025 in XD Design’s lineup is a versatile backpack suitable for everyday city use as well as travel, including flights: it meets airline carry-on standards. Like the brand’s other models, the backpack focuses on theft protection: it uses cut-resistant fabric, a hidden zipper, the ability to lock the zipper pullers together, and an RFID-protected pocket.

Water protection and eco-conscious design

The XD Design Edge 17L is made from water-repellent material, and sealed zippers provide additional protection against moisture. Recycled fabrics are used in production, underscoring the brand’s eco-friendly approach. Additional advantages include an ergonomic, ventilated back panel, a luggage strap, and reflective elements that enhance safety in low light.

Wide opening and plenty of internal pockets

The backpack has a 17-liter capacity and can open 180 degrees, making packing and unpacking as convenient as possible. Inside, there’s a compartment for a 16-inch laptop and a separate pocket for a second, more compact device or a tablet. The interior is thoughtfully organized: there’s a clothing divider and numerous slots for accessories and small items. External pockets are kept to a minimum—just two small ones: one on the shoulder strap for cards or an access pass, and another on the back panel for a passport and other important documents.

Among the drawbacks is the relatively hefty empty weight—1.1 kg. Otherwise, the XD Design Edge 17L can be considered an excellent choice for those who need a reliable, well-protected backpack.
