Xiaomi Mi Action Camera 4K

At one time, the Xiaomi Yi Sport Basic Edition action camera created a lot of buzz around its person. It remains relevant to this day, offering high-quality images for little money. But no one has canceled the move forward, and a new player has appeared in the segment of action cameras with 4K support - the Mi Action Camera 4K model.

Minimalism

The design of the action camera has a minimalist feel — on the body of the square “bar” you can find only a lens with an aperture of f/2.8 and a viewing angle of 145°, one mechanical button, a sliding shutter behind which the microUSB port is hidden, and a battery compartment cover combined with a slot for a microSD memory card. The device’s package is also not very rich — it includes a 1450 mAh battery and a charging cable. Oddly enough, that’s all, so mounts and additional accessories will need to be purchased separately.

Video recording

The camera records videos in 4K format (3840x2160 pixels) at 30 fps, and in FullHD the frame rate doubles, resulting in a smoother picture without jerks and dropped frames in dynamic scenes. In addition, when shooting in 1920x1080 pixels (and at lower resolutions), the electronic stabilizer is active, effectively compensating for camera vibrations and shakes.

Touch screen

The back of the model is entirely given over to a 2.4-inch touch screen with a resolution of 960x480 pixels. It greatly simplifies the process of sighting, and if you need to change the shooting parameters remotely, a smartphone with the Mi Home application comes to the rescue, in the interface of which there are sometimes localization flaws. Another not very strong side of the action camera is the lack of dust and moisture protection of the case. However, for the proposed price, you can hardly find a better option, due to which minor flaws are forgivable for the model.
