Initially, I wanted to buy the previous model - Weebill Lab, but the store manager convinced me to wait for the delivery of this updated model, as it already has fixed the shortcomings that users complained about. I liked this stabilizer because of its design, specifically the ability to hold it with a classic grip and in underslung mode for shooting from low angles. When folded, this is probably the most compact solution available today. The stabilizer comes in a foam packaging, which unlike the Lab version, is not suitable for transportation. But thanks to its compactness, there is no need to carry it in a case, the stabilizer easily fits into a backpack's laptop compartment. I was very disappointed by the creaking of the plastic part, as it can be heard on the video even with an external microphone. The software is raw, including both the firmware and the smartphone app. There are issues with the panning axis, and two firmware updates have not fixed this, I had to look for the old 1.90 version and roll back. They changed the angles of the stabilizer's arms, which now allows for larger lenses to be mounted, but the claimed weight up to 3 kg is more of a marketing strategy, as in a situation with such weight there will be an imbalance towards the optics, and it's unlikely the camera can be balanced, especially without counterweights. The device is marketed as professional, but it presents many unpleasant surprises in the form of "teething problems". If the stabilizer is your tool for making money, you should consider older proven models, including this manufacturer. Probably the most compact solution on the market. Interesting grip options - classic hold and hanging position. All necessary cables included. Flexible settings directly on the stabilizer display. Quick balancing thanks to axis locks and quick-release camera mount. The plastic handle creaks a lot, especially in the cold. It's inconvenient to twist the tripod-handle, and the overpriced accessories don't really solve the problem either. The smartphone app is practically useless for me personally. The firmware is very "raw" and the manufacturer is not in a hurry to improve the situation. The axis locking locks don't inspire confidence; I don't recommend carrying it locked with the camera installed, as there are already cases of these locks breaking. |
