The portable router manufactured by ZTE can be classified as an advanced-priced solution and is recommended for demanding users. The main features of the model include support for 5G networks (both NSA and SA bands), which in turn ensures fast data reception and transmission over the internet. Excellent speed performance is also guaranteed for LTE, as Cat.20 is declared with maximum speeds of 2000/315 Mbps.

A Qualcomm X55 modem forms the basis of stable and high-quality connectivity, and MIMO antennas can be connected to increase range (two TS-9 connectors are available for them). The ZTE U50 portable router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard and can provide data exchange speeds up to 1800 Mbps in local networks. Mobile internet can be shared with a large number of users, up to 32 devices simultaneously.

The device's autonomy is powered by a removable 4500 mAh battery, with a claimed operation cycle of up to 8 hours without recharging. The model also features a USB-C port, which is used both for the charging process and for a stable wired connection to the global web. Additionally, there are three LED indicators of operation, relatively compact dimensions (118x72x18 mm), and a moderate weight (164 grams).
