The Korg Volca FM2 Digital Synthesizer is the next generation of the ultra-portable synthesizer series now featuring 6-voice polyphony and built-in effects. Building on the success of the now-iconic Volca FM; FM2 takes it to the next level with a range of enhancements upgrades and new features. 64 new programs are included as well as the newly introduced one-touch sequence randomisation. It now also features integrated MIDI connectivity with the ability to enable and control aftertouch using an external MIDI controller. Six operators and 32 algorithms allow you to craft the sound you want providing unique tones to build your ideas from scratch. Basing its design around FM synthesis the Volca delivers vintage-style synthesis for the new generation. FM synthesis is renowned for its tonal flexibility allowing you to create everything from sharp metallic sounds to electric piano and even synth basses. Create sequences and loops with ease using the 16-step loop sequencer and onboard arpeggiator. Providing complete compatibility with the legacy DX SYS-EX/SYS format; you can load in sounds from a wide range of synths and workstations. Using cutting-edge technology and years of research Korg has managed to completely recreate the legendary sound of the DX7 with a whole new host of tools at your disposal. Not only that but the Volca FM2 comes complete with a music software suite providing all the tools you need to create songs and arrange music.
