Mechanical thermostats
Mechanical
— thermostat operated by a mechanical sensor (for example, a bimetallic plate). Externally, such a device is distinguished by the absence of a display (in most cases) and a control element in the form of a rotary knob or slider, supplemented by a temperature scale. The main advantages of mechanical devices are simplicity and low cost. On the other hand, they are not very accurate in adjustment — even the most advanced models can have an error of the order of 1 – 2 °C. It is due to the design features of the controller, in particular, the low control accuracy. In addition, mechanical thermostats turn on and off with a characteristic click — usually not loud, but quite distinct, especially in silence.mechanical | clear | Save List |
