Holiday mode

— a special mode that is turned on during a vacation or other long-term absence of people — when heating is not required in normal mode, but it cannot be turned off completely. Features of this mode may be different, but usually, it provides at least the ability to set a certain temperature for a long time (a week or more). Sometimes holiday mode is actually combined with frost protection (see related paragraph).
