This made it possible to achieve an even higher capacity with a small size, and also reduced the likelihood of fires and explosions during critical violations of the operating mode. The downside of these improvements was an increase in cost and an increase in frost sensitivity; however, most often these shortcomings are not significant, and lithium-polymer batteries in modern radio-controlled models are used extremely widely. However note that such energy sources have some specific requirements for power management — therefore, they can be used only in those models where such a possibility is directly stated. On the other hand, nowadays, such models on the market are the majority.
