Glass tips are often seen as a good general purpose tip, they are typically softer and offer less resistance to taking fish which helps to prolong the bite. Carbon tips are much lighter than glass and generally crisper in action, this makes a noticeable difference to rod balance and recovery when casting. All tips have accurate test curves and feature the same Hi-Viz Red painted tops. These standard tips fit the majority of current and previous Drennan feeder rods with the exception of the Acolyte range.  

The action of these tips can be described as ‘through’ because when under load at the test curve rating they take on a progressive curve that extends from the base to the tip. Slow Taper Feeder Tips are excellent general purpose tips for use in a wide range of circumstances for all species and sizes of fish. Interchangeable with the full range of Drennan rods plus a number of other manufacturer’s rods.
