Carbon (graphite)

— one of the types of carbon fibre, compressed by a special technology into a solid mass. This material is very resistant to bending, including and when jerking, making it well suited for catching large and strong fish. Another advantage is light weight. At the same time, carbon has a number of disadvantages, the main of which is fragility: such rods do not tolerate bumps and falls, they must be transported in a case and handled with care. In addition, the cost of this material is quite high.
This item also includes graphite rods. This is one of the varieties of carbon fibre, somewhat simplified compared to carbon fibre and, accordingly, less expensive. Graphite is less resistant to large bending loads, and therefore is used mainly in Bolognese and float rods. In addition, due to its plasticity and "biting", this material is also suitable for match models.
