Brazier

— in this case, we mean classic barbecues — that is, products that are not related to camping models and barbecue grills.

The traditional design of the brazier is a rectangular firebox, the walls of which are used as stands for skewers; only solid fuel is used for cooking. Nowadays, such models are extremely popular; this is due not only to the culinary traditions that have developed in society, but also to the practicality and versatility of the barbecues themselves. So, they are very diverse in design (see the relevant paragraph) and capacity — from portable folding or collapsible products to large stationary devices for several dozen skewers. To install skewers, special recesses are usually provided that allow you to securely hold the skewer in a given position, and in some models, also change the height of the installation. In addition, by purchasing a grate, the brazier can also be used as a charcoal grill; and special coasters allow you to cook even in ordinary kitchen pots, pans, etc.

The unambiguous disadvantages of this option include perhaps poor suitability for indoor use: a powerful hood will have to be installed above the firebox, otherwise the smoke will create serious problems. On the other hand, barbecue grills are originally intended for outdoor use; if you need to install such a design indoors, the search for a hood for it is limited only by the low-cost. It is also worth saying that skewers are less versatile in terms of the choice of ingredients than a grill (for more details, see "grill (barbecue)"); however, there are a lot of separately sold gratings, which are also compatible with barbecues, nowadays, so this moment is also not particularly critical.
