Low noise MFPs

— MFPs that produce a low noise level during operation — no higher than 45 dB; in the quietest models, this value is only 33 – 35 dB.

The specific volume for different models should be clarified separately, however, anyway, such devices will be the best choice for situations where excessive noise is undesirable. Note that a sound of 45 dB approximately corresponds to a normal conversation at an average volume, while for offices, sanitary standards set the maximum permissible level of continuous noise at 55 – 60 dB (depending on the country). So low noise MFPs are suitable for office use without any restrictions — anyway, they do not reach the limit of permissible noise. For household premises, the upper threshold for continuous noise is considered to be 40 dB (talking in slightly lowered tones); however, home MFPs work only occasionally, and not all the time, so even the loudest of quiet devices are suitable for the home use. And the mentioned 33 – 35 dB is the volume of a conversation in an undertone; such MFPs will be useful, in particular for those who work at home and tend to work till late night.
