— in laser plotters, a light-sensitive drum is used to apply an image to paper, some parts of which a powdered toner sticks. The areas on the drum are marked with a laser — hence the name (in some models, the so-called LED-plotters, the laser can be replaced by a line of LEDs — this simplifies and reduces the cost of manufacturing). Laser technology is practically not used for colour printing, but it is very well suited for mass black and white (particularly for drawings): prints are cheap, and the process is fast. However, in this case, there is no moisture resistance.
