Plotters with a card reader

Card reader

— a device for reading memory cards — usually the SD standard (although it needs to be clarified the specific types of supported SD cards separately). Allows the plotter to work with such cards directly, without connecting to a PC; in this case, data can be transferred both from the card to the device (for example, for direct printing), and vice versa (for example, when saving materials from the built-in scanner).

Memory cards are now supported by numerous electronic devices — primarily laptops and digital cameras. Accordingly, the presence of a card reader in the plotter facilitates data exchange with such equipment: removing and inserting a card is often easier than copying materials to a computer or fiddling with a direct USB connection (if it is available at all).
