Solvent

— a kind of inkjet plotters (see the relevant unit), designed to work with the solvent ink. The basis of such ink is a special solvent that allows the dye to penetrate deeply into the surface of the printed media.

This technology allows you to create full-colour prints with high detail, which at the same time are suitable for outdoor use, because they are not afraid of moisture, ultraviolet light and temperature extremes. On the other hand, such materials are not suitable for internal use: solvent ink (even after drying) has an unpleasant odour. For the same reason, this type of plotter should only be used in well-ventilated areas.
