Sublimation technology involves the evaporation of a solid dye and the layout of its particles on the printed material (direct printing) or special paper, from which the image is transferred to its proper media (indirect printing). The advantages of such printing include compatibility with numerous materials (indirect printing allows you to apply an image even on volumetric objects), high resolution and generally good image quality. A common disadvantage is poor UV resistance, unsuitability for heat-sensitive materials, and in the case of indirect printing, the additional complexity of the procedure and the need for a heat press.
