— in terms of the way ink is applied, UV printing is similar to inkjet printing, but the ink is special — it solidifies under the influence of ultraviolet light (hence the name), forming a protective film on the surface of the printed material. Thanks to this, UV plotters allow you to create high-quality and at the same time durable images, suitable for both outdoor (due to durability) and indoor (due to odorlessness) use. Due to the latter, the UV plotters compare favorably with solvent plotters. On the other hand, the room where such a unit is installed will still require good air ventilation (due to the ozone creation during operation).
