This function allows you to cut printed materials according to specified marks, and this is not just about cutting the desired length of paper from a roll, but about the possibility of curly cutting. Such cutting allows, for example, to prepare stickers, where the shape of the sticker itself will follow the shapes of the inscription or image on it.

The possibilities of shape cutting can be different: some models can only do it with printing, others are able to work with completed media. However, anyway, it should be noticed that different media (cardboard, paper, self-adhesive film) require not only different operating parameters (primarily the depth of cut), but also their own types of knives. So when using this feature, you need to specify what material the cutting mechanism is designed for, and change the knives if necessary.
