LED projectors
LED
— LED light sources combine high brightness, low power consumption, low heat generation and small size, which allows them to be used even in portable projectors. In addition, LEDs can produce pure white colour or have a very narrow spectrum of colour radiation, which has a positive effect on the quality of colour reproduction (in DLP and LCD projectors, respectively). LEDs are slightly more expensive than popular mercury lamps, but given the overall cost of projectors, this difference is not fundamental. There are few similar projectors on the market, but mainly because they appeared relatively recently.Also included in this category are the so-called "laser" LEDs (see the relevant paragraph).
