— filters originally designed for installation in hot water systems — the maximum operating temperature can reach 95 °C. The need for special filters for hot water is due to the fact that such water is usually more polluted than cold water; in addition, not every filter materials normally tolerate elevated temperatures. Filters of this type can work normally with cold water, but this is more of a backup option in case of heat supply — “hot” filters are more expensive than “cold” ones, and installing them on “cold” pipes is not justified, at least for financial reasons.
