So if you want to use the floor model out of the box, you should make sure that it is equipped with a head.
For monopods and table stands, the meaning of this feature is somewhat different. In such designs, the camera can be rigidly attached to the stand without any “head” at all — however, this is not always convenient, in some cases a model with a head is preferable.
