Tri-band Wi-Fi equipment
3-channel (Tri-band)
— an improved version of the dual-band format of operation: provides one communication channel in the 2.4 GHz band and two channels in the 5 GHz band. Thus, on the basis of such equipment, three wireless networks can be deployed at once, and two of them are in a faster and less busy range than the classic 2.4 GHz. These features are especially relevant when using numerous user devices — division into three networks allows you to unload each channel as much as possible and achieve high actual speed. On the other hand, Tri-Band support requires quite powerful hardware and numerous antennas (at least 3 — one per channel); and for relatively simple tasks, Dual-Band is enough. So this feature is typical mainly for fairly advanced equipment — in particular, top-end gaming routers.2.4, 5 + 5 GHz (Tri-Band) | clear | Save List |
