However, for Wi-Fi adapters, these advantages aren't of crucial importance, so there are few models with USB 3.1 gen1 nowadays (even though this version of USB is the most popular in modern PCs and laptops).

It's also worth mentioning that adapters with such connections are usually compatible with USB 2.0 ports; only for the most advanced models should you verify if the power supply is sufficient for normal operation before such a connection.
