Spotting scopes with angled eyepiece
prices on 89 modelsAt an angle of 45°
— eyepiece mounted at an angle of 45° relative to the longitudinal axis of the body; usually it is made bent up, however, in some models it may be possible to turn (see "Design — swivel case"). This arrangement is especially useful when using a tripod and/or observing various objects above the horizon. For example, a tripod is often located noticeably below eye level, and you have to lean towards the tube — in this case, it is easier to get to the eyepiece bent up than directed along the axis of the tube. This advantage becomes even more pronounced if the pipe is to be angled upwards. The main disadvantage of curved eyepieces, compared to straight eyepieces, is that it is more difficult to aim at the target, which can create difficulties for a person without skills. Also, the design of such pipes can be more complicated and more expensive than that of straight pipes (although this is not necessary).Show
