Laser distance meter

— a special device for accurately measuring the distance to a target using a laser beam - it is reflected from the surface of the object and returns back to the rangefinder sensor. Knowing the time between sending and returning the beam, the rangefinder calculates the distance. First of all, the laser rangefinder will serve to estimate the distance to the object in the sight. It is also used to calculate corrections when shooting and tracking moving objects.
