Flashes and on-camera lights with removable battery
Removable battery
— powered by its own original battery, which is not of the standard size. On the one hand, this is much more convenient than replaceable batteries, since the battery is initially supplied in the kit, along with which a charger is usually provided (or its role is played by the flash itself, connected to the network). Batteries are often made more capacious and powerful compared to batteries of standard sizes, in addition, they are easier to “fit” into the overall design of the flash and reduce the dimensions. On the other hand, such power has one key drawback: when the charge is exhausted, the battery will most likely have to be charged, and this takes time and requires an outlet (or other external power source). In the considered option with a removable battery, you can buy a spare one for it and keep it ready for “hot swapping”.The main application area for batteries (both built-in and removable) are on-camera light sources (see "Type") - they are rarely found in traditional pulse flashes. It is in such devices that high capacity plays a decisive role: you have to shine "constantly and a lot", and with a high power light source, batteries simply cannot effectively cope with such a task.
